Carinthia - the most southern province of the Austrian Alps

Welcome to the most southern part of the Alps, which is Carinthia, the province famous for its mountains and lakes, in the heart of Alpen-Adria.

93 of the mountain tops are above 3000 meters sea level, mountain Großglockner ist 3798 meters and the highest mountain in Austria.

The mountains are perfect for skiing in winter and hiking in spring, summer and autumn. 

There are a total of 44 crystal clear lakes which are very inviting to dive in and have a swim. There are numerous hiking and nordic walking paths, lodges and nice landloards who offer food and beverages from their own farms as well as a multitude of biking and mountain biking trails and bridle paths, which are worth being explored.
